A brand new independent rear suspension (IRS) adjusts to road conditions and improves driver control even over uneven terrain. The new IRS also allows the optional third-row seat to fold flat into the floor.
With the optional V8 engine, you've got plenty of power available at your command. Explorer's optional all-new, aluminum 4.6L TritonT V8 delivers 239 horsepower at 4750 rpm and 282 lbs.-ft. of torque at 4000 rpm.
