No other car can look back on a tradition quite like the 2008 2009 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupé. First introduced in 1963, the original 911 shares just one feature with today's 911 Carrera: the Porsche crest.
The 911 engine features the classic Porsche flat-six configuration, which offers excellent cylinder charging, outstanding balance, optimum torque and minimal vibration. With the cylinders arranged horizontally in two banks of three, the engine has a lower centre of gravity than an in-line six and is a crucial ingredient in the classic 911 shape.
