2010 2011
Porsche Boxster
Boxster and Boxster S are more than outstanding sport cars. They are a unique reinterpretation of the classic roadster idea.
An idea that Porsche defined more than 50 years ago. With legends such as the Porsche 356/1 and the 550 Spyder. Cars whose fundamental characteristics and intrinsic appeal live on today: a powerful Boxer engine at your back, and nothing but blue skies above.
The most important innovations on today's 2010 2011 Porsche Boxster can be found in the engine compartment. The Boxster features a water-cooled flat six unit with four valve heads, VarioCam variable valve timing as well as digital engine management. As on every genuine Porsche Roadster, the engine is located at the heart of the car between the driver and the rear axle for optimum weight distribution.
The 2.7-litre Boxster engine develops a total of 162 kW (220 bhp) of power. Maximum torque of 260 Nm is available from as low as 4,750 rpm. The results are outstanding driveability, torque and cylinder charging, as well as extremely smooth running characteristics. 0 to 100 km/h takes just 6.6 seconds, while top speed with a manual gearbox is 250 km/h.
