2008 2009
Ford Taurus
The Vulcan V6, the standard engine in most Taurus models, has an overhead valve design and is tuned for midrange torque, which you'll experience as greater passing power. If you do a lot of city driving, you'll notice a responsive feel with excellent off-the-line performance.
Taurus has earned the 5-Star Front Crash Test Rating, the highest the Government awards to a vehicle. The double rating means that 5 Stars are awarded for both the driver and front passengers. Much of this success is owned to the 2008 2009 Ford Taurus' Personal Safety System.
Adjustable seat tracks have been around almost forever, as have adjustable steering columns and wheels. But only in the past few years have Taurus drivers had the option of moving the brake and accelerator pedals about three inches closer to suit their personal comfort needs. "What will Ford designers think of next?"
All Taurus models come with standard power outside mirrors. As part of the Luxury and Convenience Group, available for Taurus SES and SEL models, the mirrors also have a heating feature to help clear dew, ice and snow. It's activated with the rear window defroster switch in the Integrated Control Panel.
